Does pneumonia mean fluid accumulation in the lungs? does it happen in every case? how is it treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lung infection: pneumonia is lung infection and can be caused by mostly virus or bacteria. Generally some fluid accumulation may be associated with pneumonia but sometimes larger amounts of fluid accumulate surrounding the lung, which may need to be drained.
