Yes!: Hypnosis is very effective for smoking cessation; while some may quit after only 1 or 2 hypnotic sessions, self-hypnosis training and practice is essential to reinforce the suggestions, at least for the first few weeks of the process. To maximize throwing away the cigs, other techniques may be added (behavioral & energy psychology). One's commitment and desire to succeed remains paramount.

Yes: Hypnosis is absolutely effective for smoking cesation but is no more effective than any other sort of therapy and will only help patients who are motivate to stop smoking. Hypnosis is an excellent form of therapy but is not a miracle cure.
