Not yet: The bleeding pattern you describe can be normal after cessation of the birth control pill. 8 days of bleeding isn't normal, but likely your uterine lining built up from not having a period for 2 months. If you're trying to get pregnant, then no pills, however birth control pills are designed to help those women who have irregular periods, so you may want to consider going back on.
