Yes: It is expected to have some irregular bleeding with Mirena (levonorgestrel). This usually stops with in a couple of month for most women and they have little or now bleeding at all. If needing is very severe the IUD can be removed or OCPs can be used in addition to the IUD to stop the bleeding.
