Yes: Implanon and nexplanon both cause what are described as irregularly irregular bleeding meaning it never establishes a regular pattern.You should not loose more blood than if you weren't on it but you never know when you'll bleed.

Period: that may be you new normal or it more likely may be cleaning out the overgrowth of the endometrium you had since birth. Now on you implanon you should have little to now future bleeding.
