Can try anti-inflamm: Pain in the buttock and down the side of the leg is concerning for 'sciatica' which is usually due to a slipped disc in your spine. How long have you had it? Sometimes these injuries can be from heavy lifting, accidents, etc. You can certainly try an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen, but I would see a doctor for an exam. In addition to meds- doc may suggest exercise, therapy/more.
