A member asked:

If i am blood type o- & have anti c & anti d, does that effect my being able to donate blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Anti-C & D are antibodies and these are in your plasma. These are a result of the antigens present on your red cells and foreign antigens (in your case C & D) that you've been exposed to. This has more of an effect on who receives your blood products than you giving blood. Normal screening processes address this issue and make sure the recipient is compatible.
