Missed pills: If you miss 1 active pill (up to 48 hours late) then take your missed pill as soon as remember (you may take 2 pills in one day) -- then use the rest of the pack -- do you need condoms for a week? No. -- do you need a morning after pill? No, but consider if pills missed early in the pack, or in the last week of the previous pack. -- back-up methods ARE needed if 2 or more pills are missed
