Yes but: Yes but if he's also taking methotrexate you should lower the next dose in half as it increases the level. Also if taking 85 mg aspirin to prevent heart disease or stroke skip the next days dose.

No worry: The maximum dose is 15 mg orally daily. Overdose symptoms may include: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, black or bloody stools. If this is the case, call 911. However, meloxicam over dose is not common.
