Trichotillomania: Trichotillomania is a sign of obsessive compulsive disorder or anxiety, but would not consider it a sign of suicide. You Definitely need to be seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist.

Trichotillomania?: Hair pulling is called Trichotillomania and is related to Anxiety Disorders like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Trichotillomania can respond to both behavioral and psychopharmacologic intervention. Seeing a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist would be a great place to start. Good luck

Depends: Assuming we are talking about scalp hair, eyebrows or eyelashes : If we are talking about pulling the hair and NOT removing it from its roots, as a sort of self-soothing mechanism, then I'd say no. If you are actually making bald patches then I'd say yes. Assuming we are talking about other bodily hair I'd say no, as long as you are not harming the skin underneath upon removal. Be well : )

"Trich" question : Often what you're talking about is called trichotillomania and is considered an anxiety disorder. I believe it depends on the purpose for the hair pulling. Are you trying to send a message? Are you punishing yourself? Does it feel good or relieve tension? Are you even aware when you do it? These are some questions to ask yourself and discuss with your doctor when deciding a course of treatment.
