Overall curable: Hodgkin lymphoma as it is now called is one of our success stories. If it is diagnosed in the early stages, the cure rate is >90%, even late stage disease has cure rates of greater than 80%. In those cases where there is disease recurrence, stem cell transplant has been successfully used to cure many people.

Depends: There are many different statistics for hodgkin lymphoma. There are approximately 9, 000 cases diagnosed each year in the U.S., and of those approximately 1, 200 will die from the disease. Here are more data on the statistics: http://seer.Cancer.Gov/statfacts/html/hodg.Html.
