Over 40: Hi. Usually a total testosterone over about 40 (or mid-40's) is getting high. Usually period irregularities and hirsutism prompt the measurement. Very high testosterones with virilization have further concerns. Speak with your gyn or an endocrinologist for clarification and diagnosis. Good luck!
