Gastritis: It sounds as if you have gastritis or gastroesophageal reflux disease where stomach acid passes into the esophagus (the tube that leads from the mouth to the stomach) and causes damage or injury to the esophagus. There are a number of possible remeadies such as maalox; H2 blockers eg Pepcid, (famotidine)Zantac; Proton pump inhibitors eg Prilosec. See your doctor if it persist.
