A member asked:

What will they do in physical therapy for trapezius pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on the cause of the trapezius pain. If the pain is being caused by poor posture, the therapist will work on that. If it is a muscle strain, often, heat, stretching, some times electrical stimuiation and strengthening will help. If the pain is from a deeper tissue in the neck with referred pain (quite common), they will work to mobilize the neck with stretching, gentle manipulation etc.
