How is an anal fissure surgery done? is it successful? will the pain go after surgery? will the fissure recur? want to be pain free asap.

Still Painful: The surgery is done by cutting a portion of the sphincter muscle in the anus. Unfortunately it can be a painful operation. If you have not tried nitroglycerin or botox, these may be a good option before surgery.
