Sometimes: Sometimes the symptoms of RLS can be helped fairly easily by treating an easily identifiable underlying cause, like varicose veins or iron deficiency. Other times, the cause isn't readily apparent and some of the drugs that are tried then can cause a lot of side effects. Whether the cure is worse than the disease depends on how severe your RLS is and whether the treatment causes side effects.
