A member asked:

What are the different in symptoms brain stem lesion and cortex lesion with details ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anatomy = function: The different brain regions control different functions. At the same time, they are interconnected. A brainstem lesion can cause any number of cranial neuropathies, impaired breathing, and in some cases, death. Cortical lesions can affect muscle strength, personality, language, etc. See a neurologist for further discussion. http://www.webmd.com/brain/picture-of-the-brain
