Clotted?: If the flow is heavy there won't be enough anticoagulant in the uterine cavity to keep the blood from clotting. Check with your Gyn to find out if you menorrhagia.

Menstrual change: It does not sound like something that needs emergent evaluation.If you are not having other symptoms you can wait until your next period to see if it continues and follow up with your gynecologist if it does. Take a home pregnancy test.
