Confirms dates: Since some women will bleed with implantation, an ultrasound confirms your gestational dates. The ultrasound is most accurate for dating early and is sometimes done then in case some question arises later.

I had my period on April 9th. My periods are fairly irregular by a week or so. My ultrasounds measure two weeks behind my LMP due date. I've had one done at 5WKS (too small to tell), 6WKS5DYS, & 19WKS. They all gave me the same due date by except 2 days.
What changes a due date by 4 days? Original due date was based on LMP only and then changed to 4 days earlier after 12wk ultrasound. U/s this precise?
Should go by ultrasound due date of March 20th instead of lmp date of March 7th? Hcg 105 July 13th but no sac. Sac finally July 20th measuring 5 weeks
Don't need to pinpoint conception day, but two first trim ultrasound give same due date we have no lmp to go off, how accurate is age of our baby?
