Yes: If you take a pill each day, regardless of the time, you will have effective contraception and there is no need for backup protection. The time of day that you take the pill does have some importance in regard to cycle control. If you vary the timing of the pill more than a couple of hours from day to day to result can be spotting and breakthrough bleeding.
