Could be: pregnancy, do a pregnancy test. Also, it could be just a temporary hormone imbalance and a late period, which can have pain that radiates. Another concern, especially if there is a pos preg test, would be ectopic pregnancy. iF the pain does not subside, or worsens then head to the ER.

Common problem : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test .
