Side Effect: Nexplanon is a Progesterone only birth control method. Progesterone levels are normally elevated just prior to your menstrual period and also in pregnancy. So using a progesterone only method can make you feel pregnant, hungry and sleepy. If this is new for you, you might do a home pregnancy test to be sure.
