Chronic Urticaria: CIU is chronic idiopathic urticaria. You should see your doctor for evaluation if you have not. Do not allow them to treat you with repeated doses of steroids. Mother best treatment is twice daily long acting antihistamines like Zyrtec or Allegra and twice daily histamine 2 blockers like Zantac (ranitidine) or Pepcid.
