How likely is it to get brain damage from a weekly drinking pattern of abstaining 6 days a week and getting drunk the 7th day?

Binge drinking: Binge drinking as you have described is not recommended because it differentially impairs cognition and frontal cortex development compared to chronic non-binge drinking. Studies have shown impairment in executive functioning tasks in binge drinkers. See your physician for a full evaluation and discussion. http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/fact-sheets/binge-drinking.htm
