Allergy or infection: Mucoperiosteal thickening can be due to infection or allergy. It represents inflammation which can promote polyp development.

Turbinates: I suspect that the thickening is within in your sinuses not the turbinates which are generally solid structures. Either way it means only that you have very mild chronic sinus disease and would probably not need to treat it
