Is it normal to have one freckle that is darker than the rest?

Neoplasm is possible: When one "freckle" is darker than the others, it may be suggestive of a possible melanoma and needs to be investigated and probably biopsied to be sure it is not neoplastic. Dermatologists will usually perform this kind of evaluation.
