Can be managed: Your Hgb level shows that you have significant anemia, which is probably why you are tired. It is reasonable to have another ultrasound to see if the fibroids are larger. You might also consider OCPs to make your periods lighter.

Not enough info: Unfortunately, the answer is too complicated for this format. Treatment of fibroids depends on many factors. If you can afford $14, I would suggest you purchase on Amazon my book Ask Your Gynecologist which discusses fibroids in detail in easy to understand language. I'm sorry, but there is not one easy answer to the approach for all fibroids. Each case has to be individualized.

Anemia and fibroids: The presence of fibroids does not compel surgery. But if bleeding is too much because of fibroids and your anemia is due to uterine bleeding, then surgery is justified. Is your anemia due to uterine blood loss and iron deficiency? Can you get iron built back up? Are your thyroid levels ok?
