Balance: A breastfeeding Mom should eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids. Avoiding certain things such as large amounts of caffeine, excessive dairy, and heavy spices is a good idea until the baby is older and then slowly adding back spices and more dairy. You should continue tour prenatal vitamins also

Depends: You should take the opportunity to eat a well balanced diet based on your pre-pregnancy weight.Continue with your prenatal vitamins and avoid anything that seems to bother baby. Do't eat extra unless you want to keep your pregnancy weight.Breastfeeding can take a pound or more off every month without effort or placing you or baby in any risk of deficiency.
