Bllod work: The most common and least invasive is the screening blood test for cf. If positive, the partner gets tested. If both are carriers than a OB specialist will discuss further testing with you and your partner.

Not usually done: Usually done at birth with genetic testing by heel pick. Cvs would demonstrate CF if tested for specifically, but it is not one of the diseases looked for in standard prenatal testing.
