They are not in air: While hepa filters work best for airbore particals that trigger allergies and asthma, dust mites hang out on surfaces and inside matress, boxspring, pillows, rugs and upolstered furniture. Allergy proof encasings are the best for bedding and removal of rugs in the bedroom.
