How long can chlamydia antibiotics affect the effectiveness of birth control pills?

Which antibiotic: Some like clarithromycin can severely affect bc pills. Others less so. Too vague to answer. The treatment is usually not more than 7-10 days. Another way is to take a blood test to see if your bc levels are the same as before and if the medication has not affected the bc. Thats not really ever done.

Until your next: period, it is recommended that you use alternate BC after antibiotics. Condoms would also help protect against STD's.
