How useful is an ankle brachial test when the artery in question is the peroneal artery from ankle to mid calf?

ABI: Is a test to give some indication of bloodflow. While it can be done alone it is often done with PVR's.mthe test has its limitations. I believe the posterior tibial artery is the grater influence in the ABI test.

How is the Peroneal artery accessed during ultrasound? I found it odd the technician had my lying down with leg twisted in attempt to access artery.
