"skipped periods": At age 22, "periods" skipped for two months, followed by spotting may be due to emotional stress (relationship problems, exams, etc.) which inhibits ovulation, without which a menstrual period will not occur. "Protected sex" can of course fail, so obtain a serum (HCG) test (very accuate) to be certain you are not pregnant, .If negative, see your gyn provider for advice.
