Vaginal infections: Inflammation of the genital area can be caused by other microbes such as fungi ("yeast"). There are many varieties and many can produce a "thick white discharge" and of course inflammation which can cause urinary frequency and discomfort in the vaginal area. Cultures of urine are negative for bacterial growth, but "yeast" are not generally detected in this way. See your healthcare professional.
