Burn esophagus: Be sure you swallow it completely. If it is stuck in the esophagus it will burn it which is very painful. You do NOT need to avoid lying down. If taking for acne, note that for adult women only 10% respond. They all improve with spironolactone, which is also cheaper and better tolerated and not an antibiotic.Spironolactone is also good for blood pressure and it conserves potassium.

They are very simila: the medications are easily substituteable. Tettracycline and doxycycline are equivalent. Tetracycline is used in cancer to scar areas of cancer as if using a cauterizing torch. You don't want that stuck to your esophagus. Therefore, sitting up and drinking plenty of fluids after taking it are essential
