I am a female with eft abdominal twitching every 10 minutes for the past two days. what are the causes of this? sometimes it is painful.

Need examination: I would recommend you see your doctor for an examination and getting some labs drawn to check for certain things such as electrolytes, thyroid hormones, etc. Sounds like the twitching gives way to actual muscle spasms at times.
