Depends...: It is important to follow the label directions, interpreting the test after the recommended time. Do not take it apart. As the test begins to dry out, a line can form, causing a false positive result (in other words, you would appear to be pregnant when you are not). Repeat the test . Consider using one of the more specific tests that gives a result that is more than just a line. Take care.

See details: If the test line is faintly positive, and the control line shows up, you did it correctly and are pregnant. A faint line is very common early on. It can also be faint if the pregnancy is not normal. I would suggest a blood test to measure your hcg levels.
