Fungal infection: Use Lotrimin AF ( clotrimazole) a large pea sized drop to each side AM/PM. You can also mix a BB sized drop of 1% hydrococortisone cream with the pea sixed drop of antifungal cream- this will help with the itching. Give it 5-6 days and if not improved, see your physician.
