A member asked:

How can i tell if my rash is fungal? or if it's something else?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fungal rashes: One clue is that fungus likes to grow in warm, moist areas -like the groin, or between the toes (think sweaty socks). If it itches also, it could be fungus. Bacterial infections of the skin don't itch. There are other things that could be red and itchy -such as what's caused by contact allergy, inflammatory conditions like psoriasis, etc.Try drying the area if you think it's fungus, or show a doc.
