Progestin only BC: Implanon is a progestin only birth control implant. and it is not uncommon to have very sparse or no period after a period of time although it has been found to be effective for 3 years or more. Also, progestins tend to mimic pregnancy with nausea, bloating, weight gain and breast tenderness. Some medications can interfere with it's action, and it is possible to get pregnant. Do a HCG test.
