Period: Any hormonal change or imbalance can cause a delay in your period. The most common cause would be stress that can lead to a reduction in a hormone called progesterone. The cramping is most likely due to the additional build up of the lining in your uterus. If your period does not come by your second month and you definitely are not pregnant, than follow with your GYN.
