Breast pain: Mastodynia is the medical word for breast pain. It is either cyclical or non-cyclical. If its related to your menstrual cycle it is cyclical. Other reason include benign (non cancerous) masses like fibroadenomas that grow and cause pain. Also, infection can be a cause of pain. See your doctor for a diagnosis and options for treatment.
