Acid indigestion: He has acid indigestion; acid excess in stomach or esophagus can generate gas; hence the discomfort; relief: maalox plus is excellent; alka seltzer is excellent; remind him to eat slowly, eat smaller bites; chew thoroughly when eating; small portions; don't overeat; drink a bit between bites.
