Need iron replacemen: 52 mg of iron is not an excessive dose. You should see your doctor and get your possible iron deficient anemia worked up. Your heavy periods are due to an imbalance of too much estrogen and / or not enough progesterone during the two weeks before you start your period. Ask your pharmacist who uses real progesterone to correct this hormonal imbalance.
