Maybe: Some people with irregular periods are not ovulating. If that is the case for you fertility will be an issue. Othertimes people just ovulate irregularly and they probably won't have any trouble getting pregnant, it just might take more time to figure out when they are ovulating and are fertile

May be important: In females menstrual cycles becoming irregular and/or failure to conceive in 1 year of unprotected intercourse are important outward indicators of fertilty problems.
