Usually not: A short answer is 'few to none.' it may depend on what cream you use, where you use/apply it, how often, and for what purpose. Progesterone creams used intravaginallyfor women sometimes give mild itching or irritation, the gels also may 'clump' and give discharge. On the skin, irritation sometimes occurs. There are no medically important risks or major side effects to these creams.

GERD, vaginal discha: Vaginal Progesterone (prochieve or crinone) is a very safe and effective intervention to prevent preterm birth in women with short cervix! topical irritation or discharge can occur and are rarely a cause to stop the therapy. If you have reflux in your esophagus or constipation the extra Progesterone will make them worse. Talk to your obstetrician to determine if this is a good idea for you.
