I'd urge you not to: If you use a freckle remover, even from a dermatologist, you risk disfiguring yourself. Freckles are endearing, they're distinctively you, and a majority of your friends probably like them. Ask them. If you want them less prominent, avoid excess sunlight -- wise in any case.

You may be offered laser treatment. This is an option but it may be pricey, and your results may be so-so. Again, please consider leaving them alone.

Sunscreen & Lasers: The first thing that you should do is start using hats and sunscreen spf 30 more frequently. The more that you protect yourself, the less issue that you should have with freckle recurrence and proliferation. To treat the freckles that you have, there are many different methods depending on your skin type. Certain lasers and bleaching creams are two options. See a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.

Laser?: A dermatologist can confirm whether this is a pigmented lesion that's worrisome and requires something special (i.e., a lentigo maligna), or whether it can be lasered off (don't expect complete success). If it's not a cancer risk, it's your choice to try removal or leave it alone -- the decision is personal.
