Preventing pregnancy: Pregnancy happens when a man has intercourse with a fertile women during the time that she ovulates. A way to prevent pregnancy (but still have intercourse) is to use birth control. Birth control comes in a variety of forms such as pills, implants in the skin or the uterus, injections, foams, vaginal inserts, etc. There is even emergency contraception that you can take AFTER intercourse!
