Prenatal care: Spotting in early pregnancy can be difficult to interpret. A transvaginal ultrasound done as early as 6 weeks will show where the pregnancy is exactly located (no tubal pregnancy), if there is one embryo or more, and if that embryo has a heart beat. Everything should flow from the outcome of that first ultrasound.
