Can a baby hyperventilate while sleeping?

Depends: Babies can breathe depending on age 40-60 breaths per minute. Now when they are sleeping they can dream just like adults and it could possibly go beyond the normal range. If your baby appears to be having difficulty breathing please get checked out immediately at the emergency room

Hyperventilation: while sleeping points to something being wrong. a normal person decreases their respiratory rate while asleep. if baby is doing this baby needs to be evaluated.
